Taking My Shot

I began my investing journey in early 2020, 6ish years ago. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing and just learned on the fly. I downloaded Robinhood and started with a $500 deposit. I've been adding money to RH and trading ever since. My ROI on everything right now is 20%ish, which isn't great. But that's with BTC being in a bear market and a big chunk of my holdings are BTC. My ROI was over 100% a few months ago.

And while it hasn't made me rich, investing has been awesome so far, to be honest. I love it. Slow and steady, never borrowing money, never going all in on anything, never doing anything stupid. Not even any options. Just trading stocks and crypto (mostly BTC).

And while it has been worthwhile, I can't help but feel that I've missed out somewhat. I have not made anything close to life changing sums. And while I didn't expect to in 5 years, I feel like I should have more. And with BTC kind of doing exactly what it always does, when it always does, now feels like the right time. You gotta take a risk if you want the gainz. And I have decided to finally take my shot.

So I borrowed a big chunk of money recently and I am going to use nearly all of it to buy BTC. I refuse to watch the bear market turn into a 10x bull market again from the sidelines, happy to make a few grand. I want my lambo! (not really but you know what I mean). I'm taking my shot! 

When I actually deploy the money I'll get more into the technicals so you guys can follow along. But for now I just wanted it out there. I have always been so cautious with investing but maybe a little bit to my own detriment. I have nearly 6 years in the game now. I'm far from an expert but I'm past the n00b level by now for sure.

Honestly, I spent the entire 4th of July thinking about this. And the conclusion I came to after some intense thought was 'why didn't I do this sooner'?

So I'm doing it! Fuck it! It's all fake fucking worthless numbers on a screen anyway.
